  • Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) signed on 19 June 1970 in Washington and amended on 2 October 1979 and 3 February 1984 (OJ No. 70 of 1991, item 303), valid since 25.12.1990.
  • Madrid Agreement on the international registration of trademarks of 14 April 1891, revised in Brussels on 14 December 1900, in Washington on 2 June 1911, in Hague on 6 November 1925, in London on 2 June 1934, in Nice on 15 June 1957 and in Stockholm on 14 July 1967 and amended on 2 October 1979 (OJ no. 116 of 1993, item 514), binding for Poland since 18.03.1991.
  • Stockholm Act amending the Paris Convention of 20 March 1883 on the protection of industrial property, amended in Brussels on 14 December 1900, in Washington on 2 June 1911 and in Hague on 6 November 1925, in London on 2 June 1934, in Lisbon on 31 October 1958, made in Stockholm on 14 July 1967 (OJ No. 9 of 1975 item 51), binding for Poland since 24.03.1975.
  • Agreement on the Commercial Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, which forms an annex to the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation (WTO) of 15 April 1994 (OJ No. 98 of 1995 item 483 and OJ No. 32 of 1996 item 143) – also known as TRIPS agreement, binding for Poland since 1.01.2000.
  • Convention of granting European patents (European Patent Convention) of 5 October 1973, amended by act changing article 63 of the Convention of 17 December 1991 and by European Patent Organization Administrative Council decision of 21 December 1978, 13 December 1994, 20 October 1995, 5 December 1996 and 10 December 1998, together with Protocols making the whole (OJ no. 79 of 2004 item 737), binding for Poland since 1.03.2004.
  • Council Regulation (EC) No. 40/94 of 20.12.1993 on the community trademark, binding for Poland since 1 May 2004.
  • Council Regulation (EC) No. 6/2002 of 12.12.2001 on the community design, binding for Poland since 1 May 2004.
